Freedom at your fingertips

Simply try before you buy and see what you’ve been missing with our Free Contact Lens Assessment and Trial

Contact lenses offer a different kind of freedom and flexibility, whether you’re at the gym, running, traveling, playing sports, or out with friends. They complement glasses beautifully, giving you another option for clear, comfortable vision that fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

Interested in trying them for yourself? Book a Free Contact Lens Assessment and Trial.* With no pressure and expert support, we’ll help you find the lenses that work best for you.

What is a Free Contact Lens Assessment and Trial?

Your free contact lens assessment includes a trial of up to five pairs of daily disposable lenses, or a month’s supply of selected reusable lenses, so you can see how they feel in your day-to-day life. But please note that quarterly, annual and coloured lenses aren’t included in the trial.

You’ll need a valid glasses prescription to take part. If you don’t have one, that’s okay, we can book you in for a sight test. Our Essential Eye Test cost is from £29.95,** but you may be eligible for a free NHS eye test. This offer isn’t available to current Boots Contact Lens Reward Plan customers.

How much does a Free Contact Lens Assessment and Trial cost?

There is no charge for the Free Contact Lens Assessment and Trial.

What happens during the assessment?

Before you start your free trial, you’ll pop in for a 30-minute contact lens assessment with one of our friendly opticians.

During your appointment, we’ll chat about your lifestyle and vision needs to help find the lenses that suit you best. You’ll also get simple, practical guidance on lens care - like why it’s important to never use tap water. Don’t worry, it’s easier than it sounds, and your optician will walk you through everything.

We’ll also explain your options, including pricing and our Boots Opticians Contact Lens Rewards Plan, and book a follow-up after your trial to make sure your lenses are working perfectly for you.

What does the free trial include?

After your assessment, we’ll show you how to put in and take out your contact lenses and get your prescription ready.

Depending on your lifestyle, you can try either a month’s supply of selected reusable lenses or up to five pairs of daily disposable lenses—completely free. We’ll be with you every step of the way, so if you have any questions or encounter any issues during your trial, just get in touch.

Before deciding to purchase, take your time to see if contact lenses are right for you. If they are, we’ll help you choose a payment plan that suits your needs. Depending on the plan, you could also enjoy benefits such as discounts on frames, free eye tests, and free contact lens checks.
