• Any contract on this Web site, whether for use of the site or in relation to the purchase of products or services through the site, will be between you and Boots Opticians Limited, and will be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and all parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts. Any contract will be communicated in English.
• We have taken every care in the preparation of the content of this Web site, however we cannot guarantee uninterrupted and totally reliable access to this Web site, and so therefore can not guarantee that the information will always be completely up to date and free of mistakes. • Viewpoint Opticians supplies dispensing services in relation to spectacles Products ordered from us on this Site. Viewpoint Opticians is a partnership between Mr T.A. Rowley and Mrs S.D. Rowley and its main trading address is at 1 Church Street, York YO1 8BA. Viewpoint are regulated by the General Optical Council.
• We may make software owned or operated by third-party companies available to you. You must only use this software in accordance with the terms and conditions imposed by the third-party provider.
• Your correspondence or participation in promotions, or business dealings with advertisers found on or through the Web site, including payment and delivery of related goods or services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings, are solely between you and such advertisers. You agree that we shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of any such dealings, or as the result of the presence of such advertisers on this Web site.
• The exclusions of liability set out in these terms and conditions shall not apply to any damages arising from death or personal injury caused by the negligence of Boots Opticians Limited, Optix Online Limited or any of their employees or agents.

• Boots Opticians Limited reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions from time to time by posting new terms and conditions on this Web site.
• As this is a bespoke product, the customer must collect the glasses from practice in person. We will not give the glasses to anyone but the customer and will not allow collection on the customers' behalf.

Validation of Prescription Specification

By placing an order, you are confirming that you have a valid in-date prescription from your optician for the spectacles or contact lenses which you have ordered, and also that the information you enter into this Site matches your lens prescription as provided by your optician and that you are over 18. You consent to your optician being contacted by Viewpoint Opticians to verify your prescription and any other necessary information. The supply of dispensing services by Viewpoint Opticians for each prescription order is valued at £7.50 (excluding VAT), which amount is included in the prices which appear on the Site. When you order we will receive payment from you of this amount on behalf of Viewpoint Opticians and pay this amount to them on your behalf.

Trademarks

All brand names, product and service names and titles and copyrights used in this site are trademarks, trade names, service marks or copyrights of their respective holders. No permission is given by Boots Group PLC or Boots UK Limited for their use by any person other than the said holders and such use may constitute an infringement of the holders' rights.

All designs, text, graphics and their selection and arrangement on this Web site are the copyright of Boots UK Limited or its content providers. Permission is granted to users to electronically copy or print portions of this site for their own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use of materials on this site without Boots UK Limited's prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

Acceptance of orders

We validate your order and credit or debit card details you submit to us before your order can be accepted. Once that has been done, we will confirm that your order has been received by sending an e-mail to the e-mail address you provide in your registration form.

Subject to further validation checks we may choose to make, our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding agreement between us.

Boots reserves the right to restrict the number of items available for sale to any individual customer. All orders are subject to availability. If your order cannot be fulfilled you will be offered an alternative or given a full refund.

We accept payment by most major credit or debit cards. Payment will be debited from your account before the dispatch of your purchase.

All credit and charge card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. We may also submit your date of birth and the value of your order to Experian Ltd. We will not be liable for any delays to your order this may cause. This information may be retained by Experian Ltd for future validation enquiries by other companies. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. Orders can only be delivered to UK addresses.

Colour reproduction

Bootsopticians.com has made every effort to reproduce colours on the site as accurately as possible. However, different computers reproduce colours in slightly different ways, and so exact colour matches are not yet possible over the Internet.

This means that when you order products from the Shop, colours may differ from what you see on the screen.

If you are not satisfied with the colour of the item you have ordered, we operate a returns policy (see Returns for more information).

Price information

Bootsopticians.com has taken great care to ensure prices are accurate. Prices may change over time, so if you use your shopping list within 'My account' as a way of re-ordering items, prices on your previous order may no longer be valid. However, the correct prices will be applied when you select an item from the shopping list and add to your current basket. All prices include VAT where appropriate. Promotions and prices you see in Boots high street stores do not apply to bootsopticians.com, and vice versa.

Unfortunately we cannot accept promotional discount vouchers (ie BVP Vouchers) on purchases from bootsopticians.com. If you would like to redeem a promotional discount voucher you will need to purchase glasses from your local Boots Opticians practice. Normal terms and conditions stated on the voucher still apply.

Our Returns Policy

At Bootsopticians.com we are confident that you will be completely happy with your new pair of glasses, but if for some reason this order does not meet your expectations we offer a 14 day no quibble guarantee on all purchases from our website.

Of course if you would like to exchange your glasses for a different pair because they simply aren’t what you expected, they’re the wrong size or the prescription isn’t quite right, we will happily look after this as well.

If you have decided to purchase your glasses from one of our 287 stores, we are unfortunately unable to offer this 14 day no quibble guarantee. You will however be able to consult one of our many Dispensing Opticians who will offer you their expertise to ensure you find the perfect frame and lens combination for you.

To return your glasses, for a full refund or replacement, please choose one of the following options: Bring in your glasses with proof of purchase into your original nominated practice; or Call us on 0845 257 3366 and we will explain how you can return your glasses by post, completely free of charge.

Your 14 day no quibble guarantee will commence from the date you collect or receive your glasses, please note that your glasses must be returned in their original condition, with all parts intact and their packaging. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Any advantage card points you received from your order will be deducted from your advantage card.

Refunds will be processed as soon as possible, in any case, within 30 days of the day we received your cancellation or the day we confirmed to you via e-mail that you were entitled to a refund for delivery of the Product. The refund will be to the payment details as supplied to pay for the goods.

If you would like to receive a replacement item due to a fault or would like an alternative pair of glasses, simply visit us in your original practice or call the telephone number above and we will happily discuss how to arrange a replacement item at your convenience.

Refund and returns for free second pair

After purchasing glasses from our Free Second Pair offer, if you are unhappy with your 1st pair (the qualifying pair) and would like a refund, we will require both the qualifying pair and the free pair to be posted back to us or brought into the original practice.

If you have purchased glasses in our Free second Pair offer and would like to swap your 1st pair (the qualifying pair) for a different pair, you are able to swap for any designer frame as long as it is within the designer ranges included in the offer. The pair you choose can be higher or lower in value than your original pair and we will cancel your original order and place a new order with your new glasses. You will still be entitled to keep your free Boots pair.

How to return an item

To return your glasses, for a full refund or replacement, please choose one of the following options:

1. Bring in your glasses with proof of purchase into your original nominated practice

2. Call us on 08452573366 and we will explain how you can return your glasses by post completely free of charge

All refunds will be made to the original payment card used.

Your refund or replacement will be processed as soon as possible, but this is usually processed within 7 days.
